Background Color Expression not working as expected in Pivot table

Hi All,

I am getting an issue in applying the Background color to a pivotted dimension (Branch in attached file). I am using below expression

in Background color expression, but it is working Branch values BR002 and BR003, I think this is because of all values in first record,

=Pick(Match(Branch, 'BR001', 'BR002', 'BR003'), Red(), Green(), Blue())

If I select Product X then all background colors are applying as expected since it has values for all Branches.

I think it is bug, please let me know if there is any solution or fix for this.

Henric Cronström Josh Good please look into this issue.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Jagan.

Hi Jagan,

You should have received an initial response from our support team indicating what the next steps would be on the case and your case number.  If that did not happen, then something went wrong with your case and I recommend you resubmit the case.  If you do have a case number then I recommend you contact support and reference the case number.

I apologized that I cannot help further.  Support is the part of our organization best equiped to deal with the issue you are having.

Hi Josh,

This is the reply from Qlik This bug was closed as working as designed.,  but the design should not be like this right?  I am just applying based on the dimension value not by Expression value, it should work based on the dimension since we are giving this background color condition to Dimension.

Jagan.

This is a known issue (that I don't like either). The only work-around that I can see, is to make sure there are values in the first row of the pivot table. Which I realize may be difficult to achieve...

What was the Case ID?

Sir

It's a Bug. I have also done a lot of R&D on it.

But the strange thing is the Code =Pick(Match(Branch, 'BR001', 'BR002', 'BR003'), Red(), Green(), Blue()) works Perfectly on Expressions but when we apply same Code on Dimension this doesn't work Properly. Only Fill Color on First Dimension value.

Also, when you Select your Dimension Value one by one, than it shows the Correct Color.
