Hi All,
I have a quick question about number unique records QlikView can handle without any issues.
We heard somewhere that QlikView may not handle if we have more than 2 billion unique records .
Is that statement true ?
Do we face any problems if we use those columns in QlikView objects ex : List boxes, Pivot etc ?
thanks Chiru
It cannot handle more than ~2 billion records. Here is a link to a blog article by one of the chief authorities on QlikView - Henric Cronström: https://community.qlik.com/blogs/qlikviewdesignblog/2012/11/20/symbol-tables-and-bit-stuffed-pointer...
the answer would be 'No', when we talk about 2 billion recs
The limitation are 2 billion unique fieldvalues and of course you could have a lot more of table(s) records. But you will need a lot of hardware ressources to handle such amounts of data - and this on the data-side, within gui-objects you will have already very slow response-times with a few million rows - but why would somebody try to do such things, it makes no sense.
