Hi all,
We usually encounter this question from the customer.
I am aware that qlik has a various statistical function but it's mainly focussed in business intelligence.
Could anyone please advise how to position qlik correctly in an environment where advanced analytics is involved?
Can qlik handle advanced analytics/ statistical model all alone?

Can qlik handle advanced analytics/ statistical model all alone?
Theoretically, most likely yes. Qlik script is probably Turing complete, so if there's an algorithm for a calculation then it can be implemented. But that could be a very painful exercise. Perhaps sending data to R and get the processed results back in Qlikview is a workable solution. See this document for an example: QlikView and R Integration for Predictive Analytics Example
Hi Gysbert,
I have referred the article and tried it. Still, I feel it's bit disconnected. As you said, It's a painful exercise.
Thanks for your response. I am exploring the all the feasibility and case studies to understand better.
Karthik,
I am no expert in Advanced/Predictive Analytics. Came across your post while looking for QlikSense and Advanced Analytics.
Able to understand slightly better after going thru Fady's blog post - Self-Service Visualization meets Advanced Analytics! Did you check that already?
