Can someone take the data contained in a qlikview file?
Hi all,
I have a quick question. I have built a qlikview report/app and I would like it to share it with someone but I don't want them to be able to see the script/extract the data/check the chart properties.
Regarding the script, that was very easy. I just removed it completely as they will not need to ever reload.
Any suggestions regarding the other two? Is it even possible to extract the data contained in a qlikview file? Can I somehow completely lock my charts? Thanks
You can scramble the data so that it becomes unreadable. You can select which fields to scramble.
You can apply section access to your document so a login is required and restrictions can be applied to the user. Prohibiting binary load is one of the things you would want to enable, otherwise the data from your document can be extracted by another qlikview document.
