Cannot lease license

Hi,

I have a QA server with the license Qlikview version and it has been working fine. But now Qlikview opens in Personal Edition and i am not able to lease a license. When i add the server name, the folder does not show any applications. I have CAL assigned to me. Can someone tell me what could be the issue as this was working fine all this time.

Regards,

Greeshma

You cannot lease a license from a Test server, Leasing only works from servers that have production licenses

I was able to do it until now. Is there some limitation? The license is valid till June.

Hi,

as rwunderlich‌ says, you need to Connect to Your Production server first to lease a Licence, then open the files in QA server.

I'm not sure but if you earlier hade a License from Production and only work on QA server, the License maybe expired after 28 days if not Connect to Production server.

To substantiate the Test server license statements, open QMC on your QA server, navigate to System->Licenses->Select QlikView Server->QlikView Server License and check the LEF text box.

Does it include lines like

SPECIAL_EDITION;TEST;;

or

TEST_EDITION;YES;;

Then you can't lease licenses from that machine. To renew your lease, follow the advice of Rob and Staffan.
