Hi Everyone,
I'm new to QlikView. As per my understand, "CALs are used to access QlikView Documents residing on the server from a Client Application by the users". So here users refers to Developers who wants to update some changes to the existing documents on the QlikView server or the end users who will be accessing Dashboards through access points?
User & Devloper both are seperate.
Developer: who builds the QV Dashboard for analysis.
Users/Customers: who use the QV dashboard for Analysis and Decision making which is usually used by CXO & Top Management...
CALs are mainly used & consumed by End Users or Your Customer which can be Named/Doc/Session/Usage as already shared to you.
For development purpose, QV Developer/Designer also use CALs

Hi Sreenu,
CAL's are used to access the reports in Accesspoint.
There are four different types of CALs available
Note! CALs are used for purposes of licensing only and they have nothing to do with user authentication for data access purposes.
User & Devloper both are seperate.
Developer: who builds the QV Dashboard for analysis.
Users/Customers: who use the QV dashboard for Analysis and Decision making which is usually used by CXO & Top Management...
