Daily Snapshot History

I have a report that shows current order backlog, auto updated on QV server each morning, everything working fine.  I'd like to be able to record a snapshot of the backlog by account and status each day, to create a history.

I know I could store the data each day with that days date on it, and then append each new day, but is there a way to just record the total value and line count for example each day when the server updates?  Thanks in advance.

That should be possible. Create a new table in the script to store the totals. Calculate the totals and store them in that table in a qvd. The next day load that table from the qvd file, calculate the new totals and add them to the totals table. then store that table again so you can load it the next day again and add the new totals for that day. etc.
