Hi, lyyappan

A dashboard is essentially a display of business data done in way that enables the user to gain more information from the data. It can cover any business data from detailed production line output to high level strategic data.  A scorecard is a specific type of dashboard designed to measure key performance indicators (KPI) of a business and is often used by the executive body to look at macro trends and compare them with how they think the business should be performing.

Hi Iyyappan,

I think this might be helpful.

http://community.qlik.com/blogs/theqlikviewblog/2010/06/06/dashboards-versus-scorecards

Crux of this post is:

Dashboards display information about a company at a given point in time that can be used to make better business decisions whereas scorecards tend to measure and compare actual performance results over a given time period versus desired results or benchmarks in that time period or results from a previous time period.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

"dashboard" and "scorecard" interchangeably, but there is a significant difference between them. A scorecard is a type of report that displays a collection of key performance indicators (KPIs) together with performance targets for each KPI. A dashboard, on the other hand, is a container for a related group of scorecard and report views that are organized together. In other words, a dashboard contains a collection of other items such as scorecards, reports, and filters.

Score Card :

Scorecard that shows two types of indicators--one reflecting overall performance, and one showing current trends. Green, yellow, and red colors provide visual clues about performance against target.

Hope it Clear:

I want to create a drill down dashboard in QlikView. The data is lying in SQL server and for each level a separate SQL table is available. For example, for the first level which is WW there is a SQL table which contains WW level data and so on.

The dashboard should drill down to the lowest level as per user requirement. Please share some QV dashboard. Any help will be appreciated.
