This may be helpful for you:

There are two states that are always available; default state and inherited. The default state is the state where most QlikView usage occurs and is represented by $. The QlikView document is always in the default state. Objects can inherit states from higher level objects, such as sheets and containers. This means that states are inherited as such: Document - Sheet - Sheet Objects. The sheets and sheet objects are always in the inherited state unless overridden by the QlikView developer.

Hi,

Default State - The default state in which qlikview runs (This is the default in which qlikview normally runs)

Inherited State - The object will be in inherited state, for example if the sheet is in State1 and if we set the Object state as inherited then it will be in State1.

Hope this helps you.

Regards,

Jagan.

Hi deepak

In sheet you dont find the states, go to Doc settings in that Alt.states add state.then you find the default state from there you can add new states once setting is done, default state is inderited state you can add.
