Hi,
I have a dashboard on my desktop on personal edition and wanted to have my dashboard should refresh every 1 minutes, is it possible?
Thanks,
Hi
I had a discussion with my client and he just wants to see the sales numbers every 1 minutes
In that case, you can go with Direct Discovery concept for Sales alone. There is some limitation also.
Reloading whole file for every one minutes is not that much fair.
Suppose if your file takes more than 1 minute to reload in future, then deadlock might be happen.
If the sales data is in an database then going for Direct Discovery as MayilVahanan suggest might be a good option instead of doing a reload.
Hi ,
One advice you can reload, but the buffer time between reload should be minimum hourly intervals because its based on the Reload time of the particular application and its QVD generators should also taken into account and your server performance too. Check out all the constraints and go a ahead.
If you want to reload local application (Dashboard) Means,
Check this: Batch file script to reload Qlikview Applications
or else ,
If You want to reload directly from access point means,
Check this: Trigger EDX Qlikview 10
Question: How to Reload from the Accesspoint without Publisher
Hope this Helps you the best,

Hi,
you can schedule reload of your Qlikview file in windows task scheduler via batch file. It wil run only if reload and save time of application is less than one minute.
Thanks for the support, but my client has personal edition, no access point. And dashboard will run in 2 seconds not more than that as it is monthly data only.
As I said batch file works only when I run manually and dashboard has updated data. but when I do windows scheduling it is not showing the latest data.
Is there any function on the desktop personal edition if I client it will fetch the latest data apart from reload button.
Thanks,
Yes - Direct Discovery is such a "function" that will fetch the latest data without the need of a reload button. However the data is fetched on demand so the user has to click or do some selection that will force QlikView to fetch new data from the source.
I scheduled it through windows scheduler, but didn't work.
Thanks,
Do you have any macro written in your application?
No macros, a simple table dashboard using excel as a source, nothing else.
Thanks,
Any idea experts?
Thanks,
