Determining the value of the second dimension in an Animated Scatter Graph

If you know about Scatter Graphs, you will know there are 3 Axis.  X, Y and Z axis.  with Z containing the value that determines the size of the ball.

There is also a dimension which identifies each 'ball' and can be viewed in the Legend.

With an animated cluster graph there is a second Dimension which provides the values for the animation.  usually a timeline value.  In my example the timeline is a month/year progression.  So there are 12 snapshots per year across 5 years.

To make the animation more meaningful I want to load in comments that are tied to different time periods and have these display in a textbox when the second dimension hits the right mark in the timeline.  But I haven't been able to find a way to do this.
