Direct discovery and Table Box

I am working a report with Direct Discovery and pulling the data from a database view table. The direct table gets the data and displays it in the list boxes. But, the data is not getting displayed in a Table box. Is the direct discover not compatible with ‘Table Box’ ? I saw some examples using ‘Table box’ with Direct Discovery. Could someone help me out with this ?
