Disable column resize in Ajax client - How?

We do not want our customers to be able to resize their table columns. I have already set Sheet Properties > Security > Move Size/Sheet Objects to off in the document, and have also turned off "Allow moving and sizing of object" in the QEMC Setup | Documents tab. Tables/charts can no longer be moved or resized but individual columns in tables can still be resized. Any way to disable this?

Hi,

I dont see any way to stop the user resizing the columns in Ajax.

But what you can do is on top of the table object you can overlay text objects with Transparency 100% and make its property can not move, clone resize etc so user will not be able to resize the column.

Please look at attached sample, i intentionally kept the text object border on to let you see the object but in actual you can take out the text object border.

Hi.

I have the same exact issue and I tried everything (disable "Allow Move/Size" in the objects, disable "Move/Size Sheet Objects", ...) but I can't get it to lock the size of columns in webview layout :s

My problem is that I can't put an text object over the objects as some of them are listboxes and multiboxes and need to be selected...

Anyone knows a way to prevent the final user of resizing the objects? Cause in a project like mine, where I have many objects and all of them are near by each other it'll be a problem that a user wants to click on a multibox value and resizes the column instead... :s

for charts you can select option  readonly i.e in properties-->general -->read only

or else in each object go to layout and unselect allow size/move option of object.

Thanks srikanthsri1 but that doesn't work with the webview (ajax client?) =/

I have unchecked "Allow Move/Size" in every object and even unchecked "Move/Size Sheet Objects" in Sheet Properties but it still lets the user resize columns (multiboxes, tables, current selections box, ...).

In charts and listboxes I don't have any problem since they don't have columns.

Any other idea? :s

I know this comes a bit late but with 11.2 SR4 this was fixed. I noticed because we are using column resizing as a feature and after the update it is not working anymore...

You have to disable allow move/size on object and on sheet level and resizing table columns will not work anymore.

It will still work when you uncheck allow move/size on object but not on sheet level.

Hi Jim,

I was having a similar problem. You do not need to create so many transparent text boxes, all you have to do is disable Move/Size object property at sheet level and object level and QlikView will not allow the user to resize the columns.

It will work on all versions of QlikView 11.2 .
