Display a message during data refresh?

Hi guys,

I have a report with quite a bit of set analysis. When the user say, changes the month, it can take a while to refresh. Is there a way to display a message to the user (e.g. 'Please wait why the report refreshes'). Is there an event triggered when the refresh starts/ends???

Thanks in advance.

You should either have the sandglas showing up on all visible objects or a kind of turning circle.

Is this not enough?

Thanks for your response, but neither the 'sandglass' or 'turning circle' appear when viewing via Internet Explorer, this is the reason for needing an object i can control.

Has anybody else come across this???

This happens to me as well.  If you double-click on the object a second time, the hour glass appears, so I tell my users to do this if they don't get a response within a second or two.  It is very frustrating that we don't have the option to add some sort of status bar to let the user know if their selection is being processed.
