Export to excel

Dear I got a pivot table

one of the dimensions is a date field (date datatype)

in the definition we put: date([Transaction Date],'$(DateFormat)')

Now when we export  this table to excel the Transactin date is exported as text

is this a bug?

Check whether you have excel installed on the server.

Hi,

Try copy full Table option.Then paste it on an excel file.

Still if you face the same issue then go to properties of the pivot table -> Number->Select the particular field which comes in text->select date and give required format.

Thanks & Regards

Try this in the script:

Date(your field,'DD/MM/YYYY') as My date;

Use My date field in the pivot table and try exporting.
