Expressions and dimensions change position in pivot table

I have a couple of list boxes one called "Pick a Date" and another called "Dimension"
These list boxes are then used as dimensions in a pivot table and will allow the end user to populate a pivot table with the dimensions they require. The pivot table also contains expressions
Is there anyway I can fix it so certain dimensions always initially appear in the horizontal position of the pivot table I.e. Date dimensions but non date dimensions initially appear in the vertical position
