  • What is CALS in QV?

Client Access Licenses

To connect to a QlikView Server (QVS), each client needs a Client Access License (CAL). The CALs are purchased with QlikView Server(s) and tied to the server serial number. CALs are used to connect to the QlikView Server and cannot be transferred to a QlikView client program or between different QlikView Server clusters except as described below. If a user is required to work with documents residing in different clusters, a separate CAL is needed for each of the clusters. Note: The CALs require the QlikView Servers within a cluster to be within the same geographical and physical location and within the same network sub-net/segment.

  • What is ATL/ATP in QV ?

I had not heard of this thing.

  • Major differences for QV 10 & 11?

  • Schedule task will happen in QV server or in publisher?

  • Can we use bar and line charts in single chart?

  • what is KPI's?

Defination from Wiki

A performance indicator or key performance indicator (KPI) is a type of performance measure KPIs evaluate the success of an organization or of a particular activity in which it engages. Often success is simply the repeated, periodic achievement of some levels of operational goal (e.g. zero defects, 10/10 customer satisfaction, etc.), and sometimes success is defined in terms of making progress toward strategic goals,.[2] Accordingly, choosing the right KPIs relies upon a good understanding of what is important to the organization[3]. 'What is important' often depends on the department measuring the performance - e.g. the KPIs useful to finance will really differ from the KPIs assigned to sales. Since there is a need to understand well what is important (to an organization), various techniques to assess the present state of the business, and its key activities, are associated with the selection of performance indicators. These assessments often lead to the identification of potential improvements, so performance indicators are routinely associated with 'performance improvement' initiatives. A very common way to choose KPIs is to apply a management framework such as the balance score cards
