Finding average getting two different results

Hello Friends,

Its dificult to understand the find the average of amount. I am getting two different strange results in qlikview to find the avg (Freight in Euro) it gives 1177.50 but in excel it gives 1597.90.

It really strange to understand it, is any one faced such error. I have encircled the error in the attached image.

Please update me....

Check the attached qvw.

My data model has 4 values: 0, 1, 2 and 3, and QlikView calculates the average considering the zero value.

If your chart has the 'suppress zero values' option, then it will be ommitted from the chart but still considered in the average.

When you export to excel, the zero value is not included, so the average will return a different value.

Hope this helps
