Hi all,
I've noticed that QV is handling two separate characters [dash --> [-] = chr(45)] and [single quote --> ['] = chr(39)] as identical string character in all search objects.
Example:
I've list of names where these characters are present:
Typing both of these chars in the search object returns the same result: QV selects both of them!
They are clearly the different characters based on the ASCII code:
But for some reason, QV treats them the same way...
Not sure that I have a reasonable explanation for that. Any comments?
The sample app is attached.
I would appreciate any comments and/or suggestions...
Regards,
Vladimir
I think you found an interesting bug (but hope to be proven wrong on that one).
Could you post which version and service release of QlikView you are experiencing this in?
same result in
11.20 SR10 64 bit
Yes, I forgot to mention, I was using exactly the same version.
I was using the 11.2 SR10 64-bit release.
Hi Vladimi,
Please check these blogs of HIC.
Hope this will help you. Thank you.
Yes, I am usually following Henric's posts, but I didn't find any similarity between my issue and topics reviewed in his articles.

Thanks!
Vladimir
