Hi all,
I have an interesting problem and I'm hoping for your advice on how to best structure this. I'm looking into source control as a potential solution.
I have to build 30 documents, which will all have exactly the same graphs, sheets, etc... however they will all be loaded with different data (but data will follow same structure) the documents must all have the same design, but feature different brands etc...
My idea was to have a 'master', then ($Include..\) a config file containing all the slave's colours, images, branding etc..
Would source control help with this? I really want to avoid managing 30 documents, which all technically are the same document. I want 1 change to scale across to all the other documents, preferably automagically.
I hope i described this OK and I'm looking forward to discussion on this topic. Has anyone faced any similar challenges?
Thanks,
James.
James,
I would agree using an Include statement but also add a table which you can loop through to dictate what branding to use. Once you have this setup use publishers loop functionality and that will create your 30 documents - You will only have to govern the one source document.

Hi again:
I've just received this mail
"I am no longer working at Meta. Please contact either Daryl ... or Edward ..."
You should probably update your QV Community profile
We don't unfortunately. Would this make this an easier task?
We don't have publisher unfortunately
Yes.
You could have 1 document with 30 companies data, then you publish it for 30 reductions (or what you want) for company, area, manager ...
I will update shortly, were you trying to e-mail me?
I can be contacted at jamesDOTwallerATtotalmediaDOTcoDOTuk
Yes publisher allows you to have centralised administration of documents and secturity, it does come at a cost but it has alot of benefits. Your local Qlik partner should be able to help.
I don't try to email you.
I have received an automatic answer from QV Community
