Hi All,
I have four fields that i want to group as 1 field but can't find the solution. see attached image
I attached a sample qvw file for your reference.
Thank you!
Hi Mars,
According to the screenshot attached I don't think so we can implement such style in Qlikview.

Hi
Do you mean that you want to display the data as a tree view as shown in your image?
You can do that by creating a concatenate field from the 4 fields with a separator character (usually /, but can be other if required). Create a list box for this field, and then in the list box Properties | General, check 'Show as TreeView' and enter the separator character that you used.
Hope that helps
Jonathan
Hi Jonathan,
Yes it really works. Just that we need to manually expand each of the field. Do you have any settings for always making it expanded as we have for the pivot table. Thanks!
Hi,
Try like this:
Add to your table FinalPandLTable a new field based on the following formula :
[Major P&L Groupings]&'/'&[P&L Groupings]&'/'&[Account Groupings]&'/'&[Detailed Account Mapping]
Then create a listbox with this field and check the "Show as Tree view" option.

Vincent
Hi
Regrettably, I don't think it is possible to make it fully expanded. Perhaps there's a macro guru who could figure out how to do it in the API, but I suspect not.
What about using a pivot table and making the selections in there? You can make a pivot table with the 4 fields as dimensions and no expressions, and clear the supress zero and suppress missing options (I think that worked in QV9 )

Jonathan
The downside of using a pivot is that you cannot make multiple selections.
Jonathan
what i want to achieve is to have that the same look in the listbox in the pivot table, where in the values are grouped based on their parent value. those values are in one column in the pivot table. is this possible? if not, is it possible to export the pivot table in excel and have those four columns in one column in excel?
Hi right click on Pivot table-Properties - in Presentation Tab - select always fully expanded.
hi sir,
even if i activate that setting, still the 4 fields are on different columns
are other 4 fields are diensions or expressions?
plz attached your application document for better understanding,
