Help with expression

Hi All...

I am trying to show Quarter over Quarter growth between two Quarters of different years ... 2012 Q3 vs 2011Q3

I have to use two dimensions... dimensin "vendor" displayed vertical and dimension "Quarter" displayed horizontal

The expression for Quarterly share is

=num(sum(Units) / Sum(TOTAL <Quarter> Units),'#.##%')

Now i have to show an expression(QoQ)  for  2012Q3 Quarterly share vs 2011Q3 Quarterly Share(Quarter over Quarter growth for 2012Q3 vs 2011Q3) 

Please find attached Qvw and Sample data

Sum(TOTAL  Units)

or please get back if you need any thing else

try some thing like this

Hi Ganesh,

If you have a date field in your data model, for example date field name is BilledDate, the try this expression

2012Q3 = Sum({<BilledDate={'>=$(=QuarterStart(Max(BilledDate), -1))<=$(=QuarterEnd(Max(BilledDate), -1))}>} Sales)

2011Q3 = Sum({<BilledDate={'>=$(=QuarterStart(Max(BilledDate), -5))<=$(=QuarterEnd(Max(BilledDate), -5))}>} Sales)

The above expressions gets you the Sales for quarters 2012Q3 and 2011Q3.  Hope this helps you.
