How to add a field in extraction

Dear Qlik Gurus,

I have loaded several tables throug a Layer 0 Extractor (generating the QVD's) and these tables have some common fields. In the QlikMark, I want to load all these tables and I'd like to add a new Field called Machine_ID for each table that will identify the table.

For example:

Table A

LOAD

DateAndTime as [%DateID],

WDiam as [Work Diameter],

TorqueMax as [Torque Max],

LoopSetpoint as [Looper Set Point],

...

Machine_ID = 'A'

FROM [A.QVD]

(qvd);

Table B

LOAD

DateAndTime as [%DateID],

WDiam as [Work Diameter],

TorqueMax as [Torque Max],

LoopSetpoint as [Looper Set Point],

...

Machine_ID = 'B'

FROM [B.QVD]

(qvd);

Table C

LOAD

DateAndTime as [%DateID],

WDiam as [Work Diameter],

TorqueMax as [Torque Max],

LoopSetpoint as [Looper Set Point],

...

Machine_ID = 'C'

FROM [C.QVD]

(qvd);

Would you kindly tell me how I can load that Machine_ID field (with the corresponding value that I assign) to each table?

Thank you!

Regards,

Jordi

Try this,

Table A

LOAD

DateAndTime as [%DateID],

WDiam as [Work Diameter],

TorqueMax as [Torque Max],

LoopSetpoint as [Looper Set Point],

...

'A' as Machine_ID

FROM [A.QVD]

(qvd);

Table B

LOAD

DateAndTime as [%DateID],

WDiam as [Work Diameter],

TorqueMax as [Torque Max],

LoopSetpoint as [Looper Set Point],

...

'B' as Machine_ID

FROM [B.QVD]

(qvd);

Table C

LOAD

DateAndTime as [%DateID],

WDiam as [Work Diameter],

TorqueMax as [Torque Max],

LoopSetpoint as [Looper Set Point],

...

'C' as Machine_ID

FROM [C.QVD]

(qvd);

Not sure i understand your concern. But guessing you may need this?

[Table A]:

LOAD

DateAndTime as [%DateID],

WDiam as [Work Diameter],

TorqueMax as [Torque Max],

LoopSetpoint as [Looper Set Point],

...

'A' as Machine_ID

FROM [A.QVD]

(qvd);

[Table B]:

LOAD

DateAndTime as [%DateID],

WDiam as [Work Diameter],

TorqueMax as [Torque Max],

LoopSetpoint as [Looper Set Point],

...

'B' as Machine_ID

FROM [B.QVD]

(qvd);

[Table C]:

LOAD

DateAndTime as [%DateID],

WDiam as [Work Diameter],

TorqueMax as [Torque Max],

LoopSetpoint as [Looper Set Point],

...

'C' as Machine_ID

FROM [C.QVD]

(qvd);
