Hi Burkhard,

I think you can't put an expression as Label for Selected Object.

I think the workaround is to put the expression into the Window Title of your object in properties -->general.

See the following pictures, the first expression is filled in the container, the other one in the object (I use the expression today() as a test.

Hope that helps.

Hi Jonathan,

that's exactly what I experienced. But I need a short version of the window title of the object upon the tab of the container box. When I write the plain text into the 'Label for selected Object' it works. But it seems to ignore any expression...

What a pitty.

Nevertheless thanks for trying to help me.

Hello,

I have the same needs because I have to use short titles on container tab because of many objects inside it.

In particular I'd like to use multiline contents as Label for Selected Object.

Is there a way to achieve it?

I'm using version 11.2 SR2 (build 11922)

Many thanks & regards

Andrea
