Hi all,
I need help calculating weighted growth in a straight table
Please see attached picture - all marked in green is already working and contains the following:
* Dimensions: Items, Month
* Calculations: Median orders, % growth
I would like to calculate the weighted growth in % (calculated based on 6,1%, 5,2%, -8,7% and 5,7%)
How can this be achieved?
Any help is appreciated!
Best,
Ralf
The only thing I have that I hope may help is the following Design Blog post:
https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-Design-Blog/Average-Which-average/ba-p/1466654
If you want to further search this area on your own, use the following base URL:
https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-Design-Blog/bg-p/qlik-design-blog
There are hundreds of mostly how-to posts in that area from our experts. Sorry I do not have anything better, I too was having trouble understanding what it is you are really trying to accomplish, it almost seems like more of a what-if situation?
Regards,
Brett
Hi would you specify the expected result? Not sure what you want to achieve exactly. Thanks!
thx for replying alex.
I imagine the right way to calculate the total growth should be as outlined in the attached image. I'm not 100% sure though if this is the correct way mathematically - please let me know if you think I'm doing it wrong.
