How to enable end user to enter a text for feedback?

Hi All,

I need to add a form to my application which is basically a feedback form.

What I want is which control should I use which allows user to enter text. I tried with the input box but I am not able to format it like a mail body text box.

So can I format the input box like a mail body text box or I have to use another control?

Thanks & Regards

You can try using a Input Box field for a variable to capture the feedback. But there might be some restriction on the length of the text (due to the variable).

Hi,

For height, you can select the wrap cell text option to 2, 3, ... rows

However, you may find that qv is not the right tool for collecting feedback with special formatting ... Can you get them to reply in quatitative terms (rate with 1 to 5) ...

Sorry I can't help more ...

HI,

Thanks for the reply, I already added quantitative term rate 1to 5 and also use the InputBoxEx to enter feedback text.

Thanks & Regards

I have another question on top of this. Forexample, If we have many users, how the list box will consolidate the feedback from each and every user ? This isnot so easy to achieve this way.

But I have another workaround to acheve this and will work for sure.

Have a notepad in the shared path where all user are having access to it. If they want to add any comments, they can do it in the notepad. You can use this notepad as input for QV and can display in the front end as text box. This way you dont have to be worried about variables and stuff.

Hope that helps you.

All,

Attached is a solution (not created by me) that allows you to add coments and values.

Once added you can use a macro via a button to export the comments and reload them back into QV to make them permenant.

Hope that helps,
