How to overcome Licence Lease problem

Hi All,

Is there a way to overcome the below mentioned problem?

We actually work with two domains.

Lets say I work with XYZ Domain(My Computer credentails will be with XYZ Domain on which we are not having Licensed QLikview ) but we develop applications for other Domain guys (Lets say ABC domain which has licensed Qlikview).

Now if I want to develop applications , each time I have to take Remote desktop(to enter ABC Domain) and have to work accordingly. Which is very much slow.

Is there any way I can lease the license(which belongs to ABC domain) and I can work localy on XYZ domain? IF not, are there any alternate solutions for this so that we can work quickly? Because everytime logging into remote desktop and working is a slow proceess.

If I am not clear on any point let me know so that I will try to explain more clearly.

Best Regards,

Avinash

Talk to them,

Ask them to convert 10 users Named Cals  from server to 10 local cals.

Hi,

Once leased your lease will be valid for 30 days.

Why you are taking remote connection to lease license for the next time?

HI,

As I told, I want license for XYZ domain(Currently I am not having Licensed QV on this domain). If I take RD and enter into ABC domain there I have a Licensed version.

The licenses which I have is for ABC domain. Now I want to lease a license for XYZ domain from ABC domain.

Is it possible?? or any other solutions to overcome this problem?

HI,

What I'm trying to understand here is that

As you know once you lease license it will be valid for next 30 days.

You move to any domain you want, no need to lease license again, for the next 30 days you can open any number of documents.

Just lease from any one server.

When you are in XYZ just lease from there. If you move to ABC you can use same License. but make sure to lease when you are in XYZ itself.

Hope it helps

But the problem is My XYZ domain userid and ABC userid would be different.

And I dont think we can add XYZ userid in ABC server.

For LEasing licence u should have named user CAL.

Please check out below threads.

QlikView License Leasing

https://www.google.co.in/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CCoQFjAA&url=h...

Once u leased the licence it would be valid for 30 days. After 30 days u again need to it after mentioning server name.

Thanks

Agree.

If you are switching users You need to lease license.

Why don't you talk with your Qlik Contact and have a local stand alone License for your Desktop.

There is stand alone License available for desktop. That can be applied to your QlikView desktop locally, then no need to lease.

Talk with your Qlik Contact to have one for you.

Hi,

In that case we need to pay extra money to Qlik team i guess rt??But we dont want to pay extra as we are already having so many Named cals which are not used. So we want to utilise them.

And not only for me, My team size is of around ten people. We all need same solution. What to do?
