How to sum up year-to-date figures without using expressions

Hi all,

I have 4 sets of monthly data for certain objects, from Jan 13 to Apr 13. These objects vary in weight. I have already classified objects that are between 0-20kg as "Light", 20-40kg as "Heavy" and 40-60kg as "Extremely heavy" in my expressions.

Is there any way to sum up the year-to-date figures (cumulative of Jan13 to Apr13) in dimensions, and not using expressions (as I have already made my classification of objects in expressions)? Thanks.
