Hi everyone,
Working with QV it is natural in a chart to sum up all child nodes to parent. I want to show a drill down feature with precalculated amounts (not parent-child additions). I have the following hierarchy scenario that is making me crazy:
This is a recursive relationship (tree structure):
Then i have precalculated amounts for each ID at different periods of time like this:
In Qlikview I want a drill down structure but with the amounts above, important to say that amounts of parent nodes are not the sum of leave nodes, which is a natural sum for Qlikview, instead i want the amounts in the above table to be displayed for its correspondent node.
The idea is to have something like this in Qlikview:
first level parents
Which is a chart with drill down features, the next level (child nodes) would show its own amount.
Hope someone can help me.
Regards,
Hi Alex,
Please let me know if you solved your problem. I am facing the same problem. I am trying to show sum of child nodes in front of parent node. the problem is if I don't select any date and only make sum of all the records then it's working good but when I am making a filter on dates in that case I am not getting sum in front of any parent node.
Reason is quite obvious, there is no date or amount for parent and it will be the virtual value getting calculated at run time.
Please let me know if you have resolved it.
