Hello All
Can the Info button be used to open/activate a sheet within the existing document? Or used to call a macro etc?
I have tried using some commands in the Info Load but of course they just display as text when clicking the info button.
Thanks
Thanks Martina. I have used a similar approach elsewhere.
It doesn't look like what I want to do with the Info button is possible. The best workaround I can think of right now is to use a transparent label over the chart box caption - I saw something similar with pop-up boxes somewhere.
Have attached example of approach I will use. Thanks again.
If i am understanding correct then follow below steps to sort out your concern
Go to button properties -->Actions-->Action Type(Layout)--->Action(Activate Sheet)
Hi, Nathan,
you can also activate "Actions" with a Textbox, Gauge chart, Line and of course with buttons. An action can run a macro.
Thanks - but I was hoping to create functionality to show a 'Data' sheet for each graph on my sheet.
i.e. would like to show a table with all the data that makes up the chart by clicking on the 'Info' button for example. Each graph on thye sheet would need it's own button so not really practical to add a normal button.
Would be perfect if I could hijack the Help or Info button on each chart. Is that possible?
Can u explain through example.
Hi, Nathan,
you can use Set Variable inactions - so you can enter any words or number to activate or deactivate your charts! Even by an inputbox you do this.
Thanks Martina. I have used a similar approach elsewhere.

Have you considered a fast change option on the chart?
This allows you to switch between different chart formats when the user clicks the fast change icon in the chart caption bar. If you check the Bar Chart and StraightTable options in the Fast Type Changes part of the Chart Properties | General dialog, you will be able to achieve what I think you are trying in a less complex way.
You can use Pivot Table instead of Straight Table (makes more sense sometimes).
Jonathan
Thanks Jonathan but not really an option in my situation. The data I want to display has more columns in the 'data sheet' than in the chart. My attached example is a simplified one but still shows that there are two extra 'dimensions' in the table chart than in the bar chart.
