I would like to do a CRC check on a .qvw, but I do not want the date/time to matter. In other works I would like to be able to:
Is this possible? I remember being able to do this on an exe file after stripping the date/time information out of the exe.
You'll find that the file isn't the same file after the changes. I just ran this experiment and calculated and md5sum of both files and these checksums differ after changing and changing back the property.
I think the qvw document contains an internal checksum and this is updated on every save. If you change a single bit somewhere in the qvw file with a hex editor it's very likely you won't be able to open it anymore in Qlikview.
