Yep, see attached. If you want a more sophisticated example, you'll need to post a reduced version, but hopefully this will point you in the right direction.

Yes, although you'll have to create an expression for each month unfortunately. The good news is that you'll never have more than 12 months in the year, so although this is annoying to do the first time, you won't have to do any maintenance. See attached.

i was afraid of that... months is a simple case but if not months and somplething like a cycle then we're in a soup..  extensions would be the only other way out i guess

Well...it may still be possible. Can you provide some data with non-month dimensions (that may possibly increase in the future)?
