Hi,
We frequently have to analyze sales figures for several hundred products (a different set of products each time). The list of products is provided in Excel and can easily be converted into a search string. However, the string is too long to be pasted into a search field or to be used in an andvanced search expression.
Changing the load script and flagging the sales records is an option which we have in mind but this is not an optimal solution.
Is there any other possibility in QV to enable users to select a large number of records via the GUI?
Kind regards,
Thomas
Here is an example that I buillt with lots of help from the Community. Our users select a lot of Shipment ID numbers from Excel and paste them into the input box. When you select Search, it returns the values using a select in field string. Hope it helps!

Hi Rebecca,
This is great solution for hiding and selecting column as well however suppose we want to show 4-5 columns in table chart independent of the selection from 'Build YOur Report Box' what changes needs to be done?
I think because of GetSelectedCount(Fields)>0 condition not a single column is visible in a table chart
Rohan - I don't think I am clear on what you are trying to do. If you can send me a sample file with what you are looking for I can help.
Rebecca,
Thanks it worked for me now.
I was trying to make few columns from the table independent of the condition GetSelectedCount(Fields)>0 so that those columns would not be dependent on this condition
