Is this possible?

Is it possible to format a QlikView sheet so that it is the dimensions of an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. Then, I can build a dashboard and export it very cleanly to a pdf? Any information would be appreciated.

Note: I DO NOT want to use the Report Editor because I can't place objects all the way to the edge of the page.

Yes you can design the qlikview worksheet as 8.5 x 11 but suggesting if you use report editor. But you can create a page as this width x height 8.5 x 11.

Hope this helps

I just want to be able to print the QlikView dashboard to a standard Letter-sized pdf. The Report Editor does not do what I need to do.

Hi Tim

I've had a quick look and an option would be to create some lines that mark out the right and bottom areas of the print screen (using print preview to check and adjust)

When I did it the visible areas of the page seemed to be close to perfect although that may be a screen resolution thing.

Richard

I've been working on a similar approach. I'll upload more information once I work with it a bit more.

Hi Tim,

You can try using a picture file with your desired size as a background of the sheet. Make sure to select the 'No Stretch' Image formatting. I have attached one you can use. It shows boundary lines for your 8.5x11 size.

Cheers!

This method is ineffective. The screen's resolution formats the print preview differently. Unless you can commit to only printing from one screen, this is not a viable option.

When I go to print, though, QlikView wants to print the sheet with all visible negative space around this background unless I manually resize the window.
