Hi All,
We have 2 environment test and Production right now I am able to see all licences whatever allocated on prod environment
Can you please tell me how to check allocated licences in test environment.
Thanks,
Deepak
Yes. Moreover, there is no point of using test license which costs you extra while you are using the same environment. Because test server gives you no more/better features that you get from production server. If you are testing/developing in one production server, you don't need test server.
QMC->System->Licenses-> Select QlikView Server->Client Access Licenses->Assigned CALs
Hello Tresco,
Thanks for reply.
In above mentioned path I am only able to view licences related to live environment.
I am not able to view test environment licences.
Thanks,
Deepak
Are you sure? Please re-verify.
Please chk it out.
Hi Deepak,
How can I check if these CALs are from production environment? It is you the better person to compare between the two environments. Isn't it? Or, am I missing something, you meant something else? I guess these(in the screen shot)many users are using test server.
Hi Tresco,
We are using 1 server for all envirment. We do not have diff machines for test and prod environment.
So i am not able to compare both of them,.
Thanks
Did you buy a test server license? How do you differentiate between test and production server? I guess you are missing somewhere. If I am not greately mistaken, one environment can't have two servers. Better talk to your administrator.
Hello Tresco,
Sorry please correct if I am wrong.
You mean for differentiating both environment there should be two diff servers for both test and production for using licences for both env independently.
We can view all licences whatever available under QMC->System->Licenses-> Select QlikView Server->Client Access Licenses->Assigned CALs.
Thanks,
Deepak
Yes. Moreover, there is no point of using test license which costs you extra while you are using the same environment. Because test server gives you no more/better features that you get from production server. If you are testing/developing in one production server, you don't need test server.
