Link to pdf on other server

Hi all,

I would like to create a link to a PDF on an other server then our Qlikview-server.

In my developer tool, the link is working.

But If I try it on my access-point it will not werk.

I've set the representation to  "Link"

and this is the definition (xxx.x.xx.xxx is the ip-adress.)

avg( Factuurnummer)  &  '<URL>\\xxx.x.xx.xxx\data\' & Column(3) & '.PDF'

Why is this not working in my accesspoint?

Regards,

Kris

Hi,

If I put f

File:\\XXX.X.XX.XXX\data\1234.PDF in the browser.

Chrome opens the PDF in the browser.

Firefox is doing anything.

I create the link in the script

'<url>file:\\XXX.X.XX.XXX\data\1234' as URL

Hi,

I guess it is without the '?' in  "file".

But with or without the '?' it is not working for me.

He can't find the server.

URIs for the file: protocol have a very peculiar layout.

Check whether this brings any solace: file URI scheme - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hirish,

If I type \\xxx.x.xx.xxx\data1234.PDF or file\\xxx.x.xx.xxx\data\1234.pdf in the url in the browser it is opening the pdf in Firefox and Chrome.

But If I try to use in the accesspoint it is not working

And if I type http://xxx.x.xx.xxx\data\1234.PDF or http://file\\xxx.x.xx.xxx\data\1234.PDF in the url in the browser nothing is working...
