Linking of Charts

Hi ,

I am new bee to Qlikview , i am working on the  Table charts , we have a requirement of Pulling all the stats on the Table chart digging further on them based on user preference.

So when we click  on any of the Value of the particular column in the Portrayed table chart , that click should map me to a fresh page which shows the complete statistics referring to that value .

Can someone please help me on that anonymous

When you are making selections in an object, you select field values of the column (when using a table box) or the related dimensional values (when clicking on an expression cell in a straight table or pivot table chart).

I am not sure what you mean with complete statistics, but you can maybe look into using field event triggers (set in Settings - Document properties - Triggers) to fire on selecting values when clicking in your object (I would advise to first check what selections are really made when you click the parts that you are interested in, using a Current Selection box).

You could then try to set up Layout - Activate Sheet / Activate Object actions to show a detailed view of your data in another sheet.

Thanks swuehl,

Yes Actually i am looking for the same of what u advised , basically when i select a value in the column of the Straight Table it should Trigger me on to a new page .

As per my knowledge i think i have to build a new page for that value of the column in Straight Table where in that page should speak completely on that value , based on Ur advise i can set a trigger to that page from straight table  value .

Suggest me if this is correct approach , or advise if u have any suggestions.

Appreciate your help on this.

I don't have a clear picture of what you want to achieve and how your data looks like, so just give it a try.

If you have troubles getting your requested result, it would be good if you could prepare & upload a small sample QVW.

You don't necessarily need to go to a new page. You can instead control the visibility of detail objects. See this example for some ideas:

Qlikview Cookbook: Conditional Show of Details http://qlikviewcookbook.com/recipes/download-info/conditional-show-of-details/

(You can also toggle the visibility of sheets using the same technique if you want to)

I see only one chart. Can you describe what you want to happen? Such as: When I select a single feed name I want to see chart of ...

Hi Rob ,

LEt me make it clear , as u see one chart there , ucan see values like SKU MAster and CORONAA and all, so my requirement is when i click on any of the value it should under the column FEED_NAME , it should trigger me to a new page showing the detailed description of the particular FEED like how many files has been processed for this Feed for this week , what is the status of the each day feed for the week ., and processing times for each day feed . How ever iam building a query to build those values , but i  should see in such a way as i described .

Right now on my front screen i am capturing data and showing for the current day status of the Feed .

Hope i made it clear , let me know if any questions.

Thanks for your patience

I was confused because I didn't see any detail data. Now I understand you are still loading that piece.

To show a sheet when one FEED_NAME is selected, use this Show Condition on the General tab of the sheet:

=count(DISTINCT FEED_NAME)=1

You may want to hide the summary sheet when one is selected. For the summary sheet use the Show Condition:

=count(DISTINCT FEED_NAME)>1

On the detail sheet, place a "Return to Summary" button with the Action Clear in Field; FEED_NAME.
