Hi,
I am able to load a QVD from a mapped drive using the following string:
Table1:
Load *
FROM
[\\164.334.352.190\D\Data\Stage1\SourceFile.QVD] (qvd);
I can run this with no issues using Desktop. However, when I try and load this as a scheduled load in QMC it fails with the following error :
(Information) 23/10/2018: 05:51:20 Error: Cannot open file: '\\164.334.352.190\D\Data\Stage1\SourceFile.QVD'
(Information) 23/10/2018: 05:51:20 Execution Failed
(Information) 23/10/2018: 05:51:20 Execution finished.
I am loading data from one VM to another within my domain,,,
Any help appreciated.
Phil
This is normally 1 of 2 problems:
1. Your QMC account does not have access to that drive.
2. Your Servers can't talk to each other, even though you are in one domain your servers need to able able to communicate to each other. I know within my domain are servers I personally excluded to to access the other server as it is a prod environment.
Hi,
How do I allow access to my QMC account?
Right click on \\164.334.352.190\D\Data\Stage1\SourceFile.QVD and choose properties -> security and add account running Qlikview services.
HI,
Thanks for replying..
The QMC was set up by a previous colleague.....
Where would I find the account?
Would it be here in the Setup area of QMC:?
Thanks again,
Phil
Hi again,
Open services and check check which account has "Log on as" for the Qlikview distribution service.
Regards,
/Michael
Hi,
Ok... so the 'User' is .\Qlikview_Service
But if I look at the folder \\164.334.352.190\D\Data\Stage1\ and check the Security there is already a 'Service_Qlikview' users allocated to view this folder:
Qlikview_Service (Development_Server\Qlikview_Service)
Development_Server is the DomainName for '164.334.352.190' and I am trying to connect to this using Service_Qlikview from QV12_TestServer (164.334.352.191) (when QV12 server was installed we used QV12_TestServer\SVC_Qlikview as the service account).
I'm at a loss.....
Phil
Hi Phil
Check under System > About > 'more details' and then under Current Process Information by user name.
