I am working on a new application for Qlikview. The main problem is the huge amount of data (~3 billion records). For that I created a QVD loader that loads all data and stores in QVDs for each month (1 QVD = 1 Month). Currently, I have 120 QVDs and each QVD has 25 million records. Since the user is not using all the months for his reporting, the idea was to create an application which loads the data from the specific QVD when the date filter is set. So, I want to have a load button in the Qlikview application which loads the needed data based on the date selection which is made. The question is also, how it would work in the server environment where more than 100 users can access the Qlikview application on the same time?
