Can anyone explain me how to use MEM file in Qlikview?
Hi gaurav,
that is a memo file? The kind you have in Samsung smartphones? Or something else?
That extension, afaIk, is not recognized by QlikView. Can you read those files with Notepad? Then it's actually a txt file and you can load it as such. Otherwise, you'll have to save it in some other format.

Take a look at :
MEM files could be used to check the calculation-time and ram-consumption from a qvw and whose objects, see:
Obtaining Memory Statistics for a QlikView Document
- Marcus
If you create a mem file you can then analyze memory statistics from your qv applications.
There is also an app called QlikView Optimizer for analyzing the mem files.
If you are experiencing slow performance in a specific QlikView document, QlikView Optimizer can help you.
You can investigate which object is consuming the most memory within the document, and if it is significantly higher compared to others, then you may consider removing the object, avoid complex expressions or modifying the data model.
A .mem (memory statistic) file can be generated by QlikView files if specified. Make sure to interact with objects (open minimized objects, make selections etc) before a .mem file is saved. You can save a .mem file in
Settings >> Document Properties >> General Tab >> Memory Statistics...
The memory statistic file allows you to capture the behaviors of each QlikView document. QlikView Optimizer can read more than one mem files so that you can compare multiple QlikView document behaviors. And from the result, you may modify your QlikView documents for better performance!
QlikView Optimizer lets you monitor Bytes, Count, Size, CalcTime, AvgCalcTime etc.
