I am confused about some Paretheses like
{ }
<
and so on please explain what are their meaning.
{} is curly brackets and < is angular bracket. < is also known as logical less than sign.
{} - is used in set analysis - ex. Sum ({1} Value)
<> along with TOTAL is used to include the dimensions in a chart to disregard in aggregation function. Ex. Sum ( total <dim1> Value)
Sum ({1} Value) means we are taking the sum of the value but what is the meaning of {1}
{1} - means disregarding all selections
Hi,
Sum ({1} Value)
{1} ignores all the selections done in the list boxes. It wouldn't consider the selections it always sums up the entire Value.
