New Customer & Repeat Customer - Brand wise, Product wise by Date for selective month

Here, attached is the "Dataset.xlsx" from which we want to derive few outputs (In Attachment) :

1. "Expected Result - By Brand.xlsx"

2. "Expected Result - By Product.xlsx"

Could you please help me?

Please find attached a qvw sample where I have tried to match the numbers that you have in Excel. I have gotten very close, but don't match exactly. Not sure, but do you know why this would be the case?

It's my bad, forget to mention - it should sum those placement where "Sales >0"  [Sum placement where sales is greater than Zero].

Can you please add this condition and share the reviewed QVW file with me.

Looked at a very specific example

You are saying on 8th April it was a new placement for outlet_code = 100034565, but the same outlet_code had it before on 1st April.

Valid point...!!

But, 100034565 outlet have only order value of 1.65 but sales value is zero on 1st April 2019, this why, we couldn't consider as new placement on 1st April 2019 whereas on 8th April, 100034565 outlet have both order and sales value e.g.1.65. so it would be consider as new placement.

Thumb rule : Outlet must be considered as successful placement if its sales value is greater than Zero.

Your kind cooperation on this regard will be highly appreciated.
