Hi
I have some gauge charts where the values vary from -5 000 000 to 20 000 000. This is a bit akward to handle in a gauge chart so please tell me how can I express for example the values as -3,95M or 3,95M instead of -3,951,655 or 3,951,655 (million)

try to use option Thousand/Million/Billion Symbol on Number Tab in properties of your chart
Hi
Thank you for the prompt reply.
I think it's more to do with the 'format pattern' on the Number Tab. At the moment it displays # ##0 and therefor the display in the gauge is not what I want. In Excel the custom number format will be #.0,, "M" where the 2 commas at the end means round the figure off. How do you do this in Qlikview though.

Yes, problem in 'format pattern' but Thousand/Million/Billion Symbol options can help you. I don't sure that you can apply format pattern from Excel ( #.0,, "M"), but I hope Thousand/Million/Billion Symbol can help you.
Hi
I have entered the symbols 'k', 'm' and 'b' but I suspect there is a tickbox somewhere else which needs to be ticked or unticked because I still get the full figure ie, 3 564 444 instead of 3,56m
Any idea?
Can you post your qvw?
Or try no modify min|max options on Presentation tab. for example, divide your expression on million in these options.
Hi Sparur
Herewith the file. I copied the gauge chart and changed the copy to a ordinary bar chart - no problem there.
Hi Danie,
here you get your example back, is that the solution?
Hello, Danie.
Yes, unfortunately, in this case Million option (in Number tab) doesn't work.
so, Martina suggested other approach. You can use it.
Hi Martina
Thank you for helping and you also Sparur. I'm not sure how the awarding of points work but between your suggestions I arrived at the solution. Thank you very much. Let me know if there is something I need to do regarding the points.
