Number formatting

Hi,

When initially setting up our QlikView application we imported a field that was a calculation preformed on 2 numbers, unfortunately we did not specify the number of decimal places, our database defaults to 8. The QlikView application has only need for 2 decimal places, this has been fixed moving forward but my questions are

1. Will this have a effect on performance ? ( I really hope not since it was my mistake !!)

2. Will changing the format in the preference sheet help ?

3. If changing the preference does not help does anyone have any ideas how to change the existing QVD since it is not possible to recreate all the data ?
