Dear all,
I am looking at a tool for set analysis with user-friendly wizard that would be Open Source (with sources shared on GitHub etc...).
Alternatively, is there any tool / Extension object... that embeds some functionalities for turning user choice (in drop-down lists) to a QLikView expression, and finally to a resulting object ?
Ex. user selects
Sales | Last 4 months | Europe
and
Bar Chart | portflio
and gets the bar chart of sales over the last four months in Europe aggregated by portfolio (and inside the plug-in or application, there is a convertor from user choice to the QLikView expression)
Best Regards
I don't think it's shared but here is an set analysis tool/wizard:
Doesn't seem to be shared...
At least, i would like to find the source code for an (even uncomplete) set analysis generator
Try contacting Stefan Walther for further details,
regards
No it's not open sourced and no plans for doing so ...
Thanks for your reply.
Is there a way to query your webservice from a JavaScript app and get the resulting string ?
Regards
No, not really, how would this help? What are you trying to achieve? Can you give me an example, then I can tell you if the webservice could help you ...
Regards
Stefan
I think you may be missing how easy your requirement is to do with Qlikview. It doesn't really require a tool or special extension.
"Bar Chart" selection would be made using the Fast Change icon.
"Europe" would just be a normal selection in a Dimension like Region.
"Sales" would be an Expression, "Portfolio" would be the Dimension. Both would be conditionally enabled based on the user selection. See the example "What's New in QV 11" (installs with QV Desktop) sheet "Reports" for an example of conditional dimensions and expressions.
"Last 4 Months" would be a Calendar dimension value selection. See Qlikview Cookbook: Date Grouping http://qlikviewcookbook.com/recipes/download-info/date-grouping/ for an example of assigning temporal date names.
