Passing USERID and field selected value from one qlikview document to other.

Hi All,

I am using qlikview 9. I am using the section access in qlikview. I am opening the another document using button and the external -->> Open qlikview document.

Case 1.

When I am providing the Document name with USERID e.q Test.qvw?USERID=TEST, its working fine and not prompting for USERID.

Case 2.

But when i am using --Sected Possible --to cary forward the selected values from main document to Test.qvw, its not working, it is not able toopen the qlikview document not asking USERID too.

Case 3.

When i am using the case 1 without USERID and --Select Possible-- , its working fine but propting for USERID , it also opening the document with selected values.

What I Need?

I need toopen the document without prompting the userid and should display the selected fields.

I am missing something?

please help me to sortout the issue.

hi upendra,

In your case it might be the path. your second applictaion should be there in mounted folder.

or

try to open the second application using Launch event

I also used the querystring ?USERID='A' & PASSWORD='A'

but its not opening the document test2.

If i unchecked the Transfer State , its working fine.

As per my observations i found that Querystring with Checked "Transfer Satae" the application test2 not opening.

Pease suggest some trick to resolve.

@ Manesh Sir,

I understand the document one is trying to create a bookmark internally and share that information with the chained document (two). For this, the QlikView Server must have setting to allow server collaboration. And this is posssible if the license on the server enables that..

Kindly check the setting and reply.

hi Manesh,

there is work around we can try it out. In the attach application, I am storing the values in a variable and then this variable can be passed through userid and password. and in the open event of the second application you can write the second fucntion of the attach appplication to make the selection.

I dont have a server enviornment to test , so you can test it based on your requirement.
