Performance - Load facts and dimensions separately or through one "big table"?

Hi,

with colleagues we discussed what is better performing load or qvw document. Statements:

Generally, for the performance is better

A) to load lots of tables separately and let QV to join them

B) join everything in DB and load the view as one big table, because I prefer handling this in DB

I belive, it doesn't matter. Maybe for loading data is A) more appropriate, but for document performance it makes no difference.

What is correct?

If its the first time, you should try both, I feel.

If you load a very big table, the reload time will be huge, but, you can predict the

behaviour of various objects.

If you reload a number of tables, you can make use of associative nature of qlikview and

show valuable information.

It really depends on your requirement.
