We are quite new to QlikView. We are using QlikView 11.
We have a QVW on about 200Mb, with about 6.500.000 records.
We are a bit disappointed about performance on the the web app (Access Point). There is about 3-4 seconds on each click.
When I open the QVW directly on the server in QlikView Developer, it is very fast, but if I open the Access Point in Internet Explorer, also on the server, there is 3-4 seconds on each click.
We have installed QlikView server as a virtual server under VMWare. I know, QlikTech recommends a physical server, but I can also see here in QlikCommunity, that many of you are using virtual servers. And of course, it is a matter of price as we have all our servers in a hosting-center.
It is a fast server, with 64GB RAM allocated to this server - running Windows Server 2008 R2.
I can see, that you can use either QlikView own webserver QVWS or you can use IIS. We use QVWS.
Would there be any chance to improve performance with IIS ?
I haven't any experience in cases where IIS have improved the performance of an applications.
As the performance is good when opening directly on the server, the issue doesn't seem to be lack of CPU power, which otherwise could be the reason.
A more likely reason is that you need to open som ports which is causing the communication to be tunneled.
You can tjeck whether communication is tunneled by opening a session from the Access Point, and in another window log on to QMC, and see if any sessions i tunneled in the QMC Statistics/Performance tab. Look for TunneledDocSessions
Hello Jens
I am not sure, where you mean.
Do you mean, QMC - Status - QVS Statistic - Performance?
See statistics below.

Yes, that's it.
However, TunneledDocSessions = 0, so this wasn't the issue.
Do you experience the same bad performance regardsless if you use IE-plugin or AJAX?
I just tried to switch from AJAX to IE-plugin - and it seems much faster...
