Pivot Tables Formats

I am traying to set diferents length to pivot tables columns with the same dimension i.e. to the dimension "PERIOD" it would see like this

PERIOD	2005	2006	2007	2008	2009	2010
SALES	$1,000	$1,200	$1,150	$2,100	$3,200	$850

But in this moment QV set the same length to the diferents columns and I have not been able to change it. It looks like this:

PEROD	2005	2006	2007	2008	2009	2010
SALES	$1,000	$1,200	$1,150	$2,100	$3,200	$850

There is a way to do this or qv always set the same lenght to each columns in a Pivot Table?

I hope you can give a hand with this issue.
