Hi,
I'd like to design a financial analysis table based on account categories (pretty classic). The difficulty is that i also want to insert custom lines with intermediate calculations at specific places.
Here is an example :
I don't think it's possible with a pivot table because it breaks the dimensions; so i have the following questions :
1. Am i right ?
2. Do you know if a custom control which could fit the need exists ?
3. Can you think about a workaround ? Mine would be to build 2 tables : a pivot table & a straight table containing the indicators corresponding to the custom lines i want to insert, based on expressions & set analysis to recalculate the agregation made in pivot table.
Thanks.
i dont think custom insert is possible.
I was able to do this using an extra expression. It is not as pretty as if it is in the same column.
Another way you can do it (Also not pretty) is to create another dimension, something like if(Accountcode1=1 or Accountcode1=2,'Account Code 1 and 2') Then Check Show Partial Sums for Account Code 1 dimension.
I don't see how your workarounds work marcsliving; especially for partial summing account code 1 : i need the custom line to be really intermediate; original dimensions organisation should be in place before and after it.
The source of my problem is that drafts were made from Excel, and Excel is much more flexible than QV (not the same purpose anyway).
